Our Civil Start course is ideal for Students or for anyone new wanting to enter the Construction industry. It is an affordable package inclusive of all the courses that can help set you on the fast track to employment!

CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

This one’s simple – you need a white card to get onto sites within the building and construction industries.

RIIRIS301E – Apply risk management processes:

The goal of including this course is to introduce you to key risk management procedures, the identification of hazards, and key industry documents such as Work Method Statements (WMS). Even a basic knowledge of these skills would be looked favourably upon by potential employers.

RIIMPO317F – Conduct roller operations; & RIIMPO337E – Conduct articulated haul truck operations:

We’ve chosen to include these machine courses in the package as they don’t have the same experience barrier as more complex machine courses, such as the excavator. That is to say, you don’t need a great deal of experience on these machines to get out there, onto a site, and start working on these machines. Plus, there’s demand for these tickets!

Ultimately, the goal of this package is to give you the skills and tickets you need to break into the industry. Once you get your start and are employed within the building or construction industries, you unlock the ability to apply for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding.

Our extremely experienced trainers maintain their industry currency by also being part of the operational earthmoving teams.

Long Sleeve Hi-Visibility Shirt (or Long Sleeve Shirt with a Hi-Visibility Vest), Long Pants, Steel Cap Safety Boots, Hard Hat (Optional), Safety Glasses (Optional).

Very highly recommend using these guys for licensing and voe. Easy to talk to and ask questions very knowledgeable, there experience will show within minutes can teach anyone to do anything. It's not all serious will have a laugh throughout the course/s. Highly maintained gear clean facilities and smoko van on the practical day aswel as a coffee van for that pick me up. No pressure in how fast you learn it's all at your own pace. If your looking for tickets these guys are second to none.

The forklift course is delivered over 3 days, and has a good mix of theory vs. practical. All materials provided for theory are easy to understand and well formatted for your success in completion. The instructor (Brad) is friendly, committed to students doing well, has plenty of experience in the industry and delivers the course content with clear and understandable methods.

I spent 18+years in hospitality and wanted a caarer change and decided to get into civil construction. I went to Diggerman to do my traffic control course. With much help and support I got my licence and got a job traffic controlling. While doing my licence, Fingers (my tutor) encouraged me to get my heavy wheels and rollers ticket. I returned a few months later and got my rollers ticket. While doing my Rollers ticket again Fingers and Graham encouraged me to get my Haul truck and front end loader ticket. In Which I did. I also got water cart ticket and more with there encouragement, Plus my level 2 traffic control licence. I am so thankful to Diggerman and all there team for all the help, support and encouragement that they gave me as I am now working on one of the biggest construction sites on the sunshine coast with a great company driving haul trucks, Rollers etc absolutely loving it.
